My Place was the Place to Be

Dallas did not disappoint!

As promised, the Asian American Hotel Owners Association’s (AAHOA) AAHOACON21 event was Bigger and Better and exhilarating after the last year in the hospitality community.

The question on everyone’s mind in 2020 was: when will the next big event take place during our road to recovery? AHHOA answered that question and lead the way in the hospitality industry, holding an impeccable event that delivered in all areas.

Located at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas, conversations were epic with attendees and vendors alike and the sessions were uplifting and inspiring. Speakers ranged from Troy Aikman, retired NFL player and Fox News sportscaster, to Jagruti Panwala, the first AAHOA Chairwoman elected to the board in three decades.

The topic of many conversations was reflecting on the hardships and triumphs that 2020 brought to the industry. As the convention went on, it was made clear that My Place Hotels stood out as the place to be in the industry.

In 2020 we opened eight new locations across eight different states. It was a major win. 2021 has seen continual portfolio growth with the addition of five new hotels open year to date, an additional 15 hotels under development, and multiple hotels in the pipeline, the time to join the My Place movement is now.

My Place Hotels was thrilled to be part of AAHOACON21! We are looking forward to seeing everyone again next year at AAHOACON22 in April in Baltimore.
