My Place expands in North Carolina

Aberdeen, S.D.—- My Place Hotels breaks ground on a second location in North Carolina. The new hotel is expected to make its debut in the spring of 2023 in Jacksonville, NC. The 4-story, 85-unit hotel is owned by MP Jacksonville LLC and will be operated by the seasoned hospitality professionals at Cornerstone Hospitality, which is based in Williamsburg, Virginia. This will be the second My Place Hotel managed by Cornerstone Hospitality. The hotel is being built by Marietta, Georgia-based Celtic Services, Inc. and will be conveniently located off Western Blvd Extension beside the State Employees Credit Union and near the AMC Classic Kalli 12 movie theater and Buffalo Wild Wings. The property will offer long-term and short-term accommodations featuring full kitchens which are great for business, extended-stay, and family travel.

Jacksonville, North Carolina is home to the Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base, one of the largest military bases in the country. It supports more than 40,000 Marine and Navy troops and their families as well as more than 100,000 retirees and civilian workers. The base also supports surrounding bases such as the Naval Weapons Station at Cherry Point and the New River Air Station. Due to the influx of military troops for training and those being stationed at the bases, many military personnel and their families travel to the area. Additionally, Jacksonville, NC is surrounded by beautiful beaches such as Emerald Isle and Topsail Island, which make it a great vacation destination.
