My Place Hotels of America proudly announced the major landmark of reaching their 100th franchise at the 2022 My Place Hotels Convention at the Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa in West Palm Beach, Florida. The exciting news was shared by President and CEO, Ryan Rivett during the Opening Ceremony of the convention.

“I had the opportunity to announce our 100th franchise and that’s a huge milestone for any company. I’m really glad we got here when we did. The people that have been involved in the first hundred franchises of My Place couldn’t be any better.”

– Ryan Rivett, My Place Hotels, President & COO

Centered around the theme “Rising to the Eau-Ccasion” the convention represented one of the brightest aspects of the hospitality business that My Place values most: relationships. The record number of attendees were able to connect with a network of ever-expanding developers, owners, operators and industry partners.

Breakout sessions focused on impactful initiatives while general sessions gave insight into the brand’s direction and role in a rapidly changing hospitality environment. Panels consisted of many hospitality all-stars and held a variety of highly engaging discussions including how extended stay has proven to be a leader in the industry and continues to grow at a rapid rate as well as a political update on the industry and what to expect in the future. Another incredible break-out session included Women in Hospitality, which top female industry leaders gave an inspirational panel discussing how they navigated their pathway to success.

Other topics included overcoming the challenges brought on by the pandemic. “I think that our proof of concept was really proven during that time,” said Terry Kline, Executive Vice President of Franchise Development at My Place Hotels. “We never had a chance before the pandemic to really prove the premise that My Place was designed to really withstand the ebbs and tides of the economy. Overall, I don’t think we expected a pandemic to be the reason, but we certainly found out that it worked well during it.”

The final chord of the convention, however, was a celebration of its current community, a close, passionate, and engaged group of participants. The following awards and recipients were announced during the closing general session of the My Place Convention:
