Pop the confetti-the ribbon's cut! My Place Hotel – Raleigh/Garner, NC, officially celebrated its grand opening on August 7th, and it was a day to remember. If you missed the celebration, don’t worry — we’ve got the full rundown of all the highlights and festivities right here. Rain couldn't dampen the spirit as the community, together with leadership from the My Place corporate office and TGC Hospitality, commemorated the occasion. 

Upon arrival, guests were invited to enjoy a signature cocktail while savoring a beautiful charcuterie board—almost too fancy to eat, but far too delicious to resist. Throughout the event, attendees took time to explore the brand new hotel’s full range of amenities, including touring guest rooms on the first floor, perfect for extended stays as well as quick overnight visits. Guests also had the opportunity to connect with members of the dedicated hotel staff and representatives from the local Chambers of Commerce, the City of Garner, and other organizations that joined in the celebration.

This new hotel in Garner is one of five My Place Hotels owned and operated by TGC Hospitality across the country. They also third-party manage another eight. With Garner, My Place continues its expansion in North Carolina, now with three locations across the state. The new hotel features 64 units, each equipped with a full kitchen, free Wi-Fi, and access to a fully stocked My Store open 24/7. Outside, guests can fire up the grill at the outdoor pavilion or kick back and let dinner come to them, thanks to $0 Grubhub delivery fees and a free month of Grubhub+, just for being a My Place guest. 

Whether guests are looking for outdoor adventure or a charming stroll through history, Garner has something for everyone just minutes from the hotel. Explore the Neuse River Greenway Trail, stretching for 27 miles. Wander through White Deer Park & Nature Center, where 96 acres of outdoor play zones offer fun for all ages. For lakeside leisure, head to Lake Benson Park, home to 64 acres of trails, playgrounds, fishing spots, and boating access. And don’t miss the Downtown Garner Historic District, a gem filled with beautifully protected Queen Anne and Craftsman-style buildings. 

The celebration didn’t just belong to My Place—it was a true community affair. Local leaders, including Garner’s Mayor Pro Tem Kathy Vance, joined in the festivities and took to the mic to share a few words.
