As the ribbon was cut on the brand-new Redding property, the excitement in the air was undeniable. Speakers from across the community and the My Place family shared their enthusiasm for what this opening means for the city. We heard from Todd Jones, CEO and President of the Redding Chamber of Commerce; Vice Mayor Mike Littau of the City of Redding; Kaveh LaVeau, General Manager; Ali Rahimi, Sr. Vice President of Legacy Management; Joe Dinger, VP of Development for Pacific NW Redding LLC; and Ryan Rivett, CEO of My Place Hotels.
The grand opening also caught the attention of local media. Several outlets covered the event, highlighting both the significance of My Place Hotels’ arrival in California and the positive momentum it’s bringing to Redding. You can check out some of that coverage here:
This opening was more than just a business milestone. The new property was developed and is owned by Pacific Northwest My Place Hotels, LLC., led by Joe Dinger, while his wife, Sarah Dinger, serves as the EVP of Franchise Operations at My Place Hotels. Their combined experience and leadership helped make the first California location a reality, proof that when passion and partnership run in the family, big things can happen.
The property’s location makes it the perfect home base for exploring everything Redding has to offer. Guests will appreciate being just a short drive from Redding Regional Airport, making travel in and out of the city simple and stress-free. Nearby, visitors can enjoy the Sundial Bridge, stroll the Sacramento River Trail, or take a quick trip to Shasta Lake for outdoor adventure. Whether you’re in town for business, leisure, or a little of both, My Place Hotel-Redding puts you right in the middle of it all.
We’re grateful for the support of our partners and the warm welcome from the Redding community. With this opening, My Place Hotels is proud to plant its first flag in California, and we’re excited for what’s ahead as we continue to grow together. Stay tuned, this is just the beginning.
