Grand Opening tour celebrates success

ABERDEEN, SD – JUNE 15, 2021 – In pursuit and celebration of its progress and culture, My Place Hotels commemorated two Grand Opening events in two states this week. The two-day tour kicked off Tuesday, June 8, where executives, including President/CEO Ryan Rivett and EVP of Franchise Sales Terry Kline, led the team from My Place Headquarters in Aberdeen, South Dakota to The Grand Canyon State to celebrate My Place Hotel-Buckeye, AZ Grand Opening. Buckeye is Arizona’s second My Place and America’s 65^th.

From the moment we arrived at our brand’s newest hotel, we were greeted by warm smiles and bright personalities that filled the room. Buckeye remains one of the fastest-growing cities in the nation and the four-story, 63-unit hotel is conveniently located off I-10; a quick walk over to Sundance Towne Center provides a variety of dining and shopping destinations. A short drive away is the Buckeye Municipal Airport, Skyline Regional Park, Phoenix Raceway, Verrado Golf Club, and more.

The My Place team then traveled to the great state of Oregon as they attended the second and final Grand Opening celebration on their tour in Portland East/Gresham alongside Pacific NW Gresham, LLC developer Joe Dinger. It was clear to see the pride and ownership the staff takes in the property. My Place Hotel-Portland East/Gresham, OR marks the brand’s third location in the Beaver State. The four-story, 63-unit hotel is centered perfectly between bustling downtown Portland to the west and the beautiful Mount Hood National Forest to the east.
